The basics behind coupons

One of Amazon's promotional options are coupons. Coupons essentially breakdown into the following costs components:

  • The dollar amount of the discount you are offering to customers.
  • Redemption fees ($0.60 for every redemption) charged by Amazon.

That's right. Amazon charges sellers $.60 for every coupon that gets redeemed. Unfortunately, Amazon does not allow developers to assign coupon redemption fees to individual SKUs/ASINs. Coupon redemption fees are therefore not applied at the SKU level.
